OKJOO Foundation works with organizations in Korea that advance dignity, inclusion, opportunity, and meaningful community support. The Korea Liaison Office manages local outreach, application intake, initial review, and post-award coordination. Final grant decisions and funding are made by the U.S. nonprofit entity.
CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES

Organizations may apply through a scheduled open call, submit a rolling request when an important need arises, or identify an urgent or exceptional situation requiring timely review. Each pathway follows an appropriate review process and remains subject to final approval by the U.S. nonprofit entity.
2026 KOREA WINTER RELIEF

OKJOO Foundation will support nonprofit and public-benefit organizations providing essential winter assistance to vulnerable communities across Korea.

Organizations may introduce an important community need at any time, including when referred by foundation leadership or a trusted partner. The Korea Liaison Office will review fit, readiness, and next steps.

For emergencies or exceptional circumstances where delay may cause serious harm, applicants can flag urgency and explain the situation, timing, immediate need, and requested response.
Prepare an urgent requestUrgent does not mean automatic approval.
Urgency affects review priority and communication speed. The Korea Liaison Office conducts initial assessment and recommendation; the U.S. nonprofit entity retains final decision authority and provides approved funding directly to the recipient organization.

Request pathway selected
Applicants choose a scheduled open call, year-round support request, or urgent and exceptional request according to their situation.
Online application
Organizations provide core identity, contact, need, proposed response, budget, beneficiaries, outcomes, and pathway-specific information through the online form.
Local review
The Korea Liaison Office checks completeness, reviews alignment, and conducts the initial evaluation and follow-up.
Recommendation
Qualified applications are shortlisted and forwarded to the U.S. nonprofit entity for final consideration.
Final decision & funding
The U.S. entity makes the final grant decision and provides approved support directly to the recipient organization in Korea.
Post-award stewardship
The Korea Liaison Office maintains communication, monitors progress, and coordinates outcome and stewardship reporting.

The Korea office is a liaison office.
It does not receive donations, make final grant approvals, or disburse grant funds. Its role is to support local communication, application management, initial review, recommendations, and post-award stewardship. Final decisions and funding are handled by OKJOO Foundation’s U.S. nonprofit entity.
